Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, better known by the name Ashanti was born October 13 the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She is a musician, singer and actress from America. United States. Ashanti was discovered as an untrained teenager, and later signed to Murder Inc. Records in 2002. She was featured on fat Joe's What's Luv? song that was released the following year. Also, she was featured on the Fat Joe's hit song"What's Luv?" It was the first time for a female artist to be in the highest two positions on the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States with Foolish at number one and The song What's Luv? What's Luv?
